About Me

I am a Ph.D. student in Electronic and Computer Engineering at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology , under the supervision of Dr. Yuan Xie. Previously, I was pursuing my Ph.D. program in Computer Science at the University of California, Santa Barbara, before moving to HKUST with my advisor in 2024. Previously I was a Ph.D. student in Computer Science at University of California - Santa Barbara and followed my advisor to HKUST in 2024. Previously, I obtained my M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering at The University of Arizona in 2022, serving as a core student member of NSF Center for Quantum Networks, under supervision of Dr. Zheshen Zhang. I obtained my B.S. in Physics and B.E. in Computer Science from University of Science and Technology of China in 2021.

My research is committed to quantum computing system design and fault-tolerant quantum computing, to bridge the gap between algorithms and bottom-layer devices. My recent/current projects are related to quantum computer architecture and compilation techniques and some control-layer problems, error correction decoding algorithms for hardware deployment, quantum machine learning algorithms and systematic error mitigation/suppression topics.
